Tourism Moree CEO Report August 2015

Written on the 23 July 2015 by Tammy Elbourne

The Team at Tourism Moree has been very busy during the past month with a variety of different projects. From continuing to improve our marketing opportunities through to assisting many local businesses and organisations with their upcoming events, such as the Lions Club International 201N1 District Convention, Moree 16th - 18th October 2015 and the 2016 Swimming NSW Country Regionals Meet, which will be held in Moree in January 2016.

The month of July was very strong with visitations especially as we saw many families travelling to and through our Shire and Region for the school holidays.

Digital Marketing remains a priority for the Tourism Moree Team, as we continue to build our media presence within this platform. We are capitalizing on the opportunities that are afforded to us in today's digital world. With the recent rejuvenation of the Tourism Moree website we are continuing to see a huge increase in visitation to our site, we are now working with our web designers and our analytical team to ensure that we can utilize this information to produce strong outcomes for our businesses and operators.

Tourism Moree has been the driving force for the Moree Plains Shire for the past 14 years with our organisation responsible for the co-ordination of the tourism sector, operation of the Visitor Information Centre and the marketing and promotion of the Shire. We continue to work closely with local and regional operators, businesses, local government and community groups to assist and facilitate the development and improvement of tourism products as well as build the economic development, infrastructure, facilities and services in the Moree Plains.
