The Book of Australian Nursery Rhyme by Bindi-Bindi

Ever since European settlement in Australia, our children have been raised on an assortment of Nursery Rhyme originating in the Northern Hemisphere. We at Bindi-Bindi thought a chance was long overdue.

While the concept of The Book of Australian Nursery Rhyme had been thought about, nothing positive happened until the 1980's when a considerable amount of material was produced. However the whole thing did not come together until early 1999, when we were ready to go to print.

Where possible, the Rhymes have been set in early 20th Century to give children a taste of yesteryear Australia. The five page Glossary at the back of the book gives additional information to share with our little ones as they grow.

It is our sincere hope that this collection of original Australian Nursery Rhyme, so beautiful illustrated, will give generations of reading pleasure to children of Australia and overseas.
